Al J Smith He started his career back in high school rocking out with Green-day and Blink with basic power chords. Now he is pushing the boundaries everyday trying to become the meanest shredder in his county. His only band started when he was 17 and beginning his study of history at the university of Aberdeen.That band was SCHILTRON and went on to play many gigs in Aberdeen, Dundee and one in Glasgow. They also played at two festivals in Lossiemouth where they got a great crowd! SCHILTRON recorded one demo CD 'The Only One's Alive' before they went there separate ways after university. Now Al J Smith has been spending his time wisely, writing 80's style rock material and instrumental jams such as this debut 'The Gates of Caledonia!' His new 80's rock band 'THE CRIMSON ACES' will be getting off the ground in Dundee very shortly. Al also likes to write historical fiction and is currently editing his first full length novel, 'Oath and Allegiance' set during Jacobean times.
